Juan Daniel Prades García (Barcelona, 1982) is a graduate in Physics and Electrical Engineering. He is a professor at the Electronic and Biomedical Engineering Department of the Bosch i Gampera Foundation (Barcelona). His research career includes two grants from the European Research Council with which he developed computer-aided color correction technology for chemical analysis.
PROJECT
‘Chromatic correction of medical images using computer viewing’ will adapt this development so that the color of medical images is reliable, reproducible and comparable. This will open up new possibilities in tele-medicine via videoconference, generation of reliable photographic clinical histories and standardization of microscopic photography of tissues.
