Raquel Martín Hernández (Madrid, 1976) is a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Department of Greek Philology and Indo-European Linguistics at Universidad Completense de Madrid.
PROJECT
Her project is a comprehensive study of the illustrations that appear in the manuals of magic from the Roman period, examining their special nature and intentions, as well as their relationship with the text and how they integrate into it.
The aim is to determine the relationship between text and image in the rituals preserved in these books, to guarantee a full understanding of the meaning and ritual symbolism of these texts.
