The exhibition takes visitors on a trip through time, with the years 2015 and 2050 as a reference. The aim is for people to know and experience the current reality of old age, and for them to be aware of the values of architecture as a generator of solutions for real needs. Architecture also wants people to make contact with this age group, which until now has been invisible, and for them to understand that respect for the elderly must form part of the present.

This virtual journey will introduce visitors to the subjects of old age and the physical changes that occur over a lifetime. That is why one of the elements is software in which visitors can see their own image as it would be in old age. They will also discover everything related to leisure for the elderly, what they dedicate their time to and the spaces available for this purpose.

Visitors will discover everything related to the types of rooms for the elderly today in Spain, their problems and realities. But that’s not the only thing they will learn; they’ll also discover proposals for new accessible furniture designs that are adaptable over time.

In addition, they can compare the different subject areas in the two proposed scenarios (2015 and 2050), and extract their own conclusions.
